What We Did:

This was originally a tarmac driveway which was built at the same time as the property by the developers. Over time it was clear that the groundwork was not great as the drive had several low spots and dips where the sub-structure was failing. The drive was looking tired and untidy so the owners wanted to revive the look of the front of the house and crucially have a lovely flat surface that was easy for parking and safe for walking on. After some consultation and review of the options the clients chose to have a mid-grey resin bound aggregate driveway installed by us. This gave them the fashionable colour they wanted in a format that was much more attractive than tarmac and something that was less maintenance in the future when compared with block paving. The resin section was then edged by a matching block paver and we installed couter-sunk lights to give it that wow factor. As a finishing touch we removed their old concrete front door step and built a beautiful new one from Black Limestone slabs – the client was thrilled. Lots more kerb appeal about the property now.
